Rovos Rail Prices

Rovos Rail runs a regular schedule on routes throughout Southern Africa, from South Africa to Namibia and Tanzania. The luxury Rovos Rail trains are composed of historically restored South African coaches with exclusive luxury lounges, dining carriages, hotel class private sleeping areas all offering private en-suite bathing facilities.

Rovos offers three levels of luxury on board. Rovos Rail tour packages start with the Pullman (76 ft) and progress upward to the most extravagant ambassadorial Royal Suite (172 ft). The grandiose Royal Suite offers a full-size Victorian bathtub, perfect for honeymooners.

Rovos Rail Pullman Suite

Rovos Pullman compartments are the most modest & economical suites available. There are 15 Pullman train compartments, and these tend to sell rapidly. Each Pullman Suite is 76 square feet. Sofas convert to double or twin beds in the evening. Pullman’s offer full en-suite facilities.

Rovos Deluxe Suite
Once Rovos Rail’s standard cabin the Rovos Deluxe offering is large and comes with stunning colonial period decor. Each deluxe suit is a third of a train car. These Rovos Rail suites sleep two passengers in twin or king-sized beds and offer a lounge and en-suite facilities. Each Deluxe suit takes up 118 square feet. There are generally 22 deluxe suites per journey.

Rovos Royal Suite

Royal Suites compose fully half a train car. Most Rovos Rail train journeys offer four Royal Suites. Special features include en-suite bathroom with Victorian bathtub and shower, and a separate, private lounge. The Rovos Rail Royal Suite’s 172 square feet means that only India’s Maharajas’ Express offers a larger suite space anywhere in the world.
